Warped Space-Time
Before I forget this. There's this old idea, starting from Einstein, elaborating that matter warps space-time. So that light from a distant star would seem to bend around the periphery of the sun and therefore distorts the seen position of the star. That's because according to the General Theory of Relativity, the mass of the Sun bends the space-time continuum around it, much like a heavy ball produces a dimple on a stretched sheet.
Now I was on the way to expanding that to conclude that matter not only warps space-time, matter may indeed be warped space-time.
Too bad I couldn't go through the equations I needed to study. Other ostentaneously urgent matters captured my attention. I just hope I can still be able to talk to physicist friends regarding the latest in their fields. Oh I miss it so much. Gina's in plasma, Omer and Atom are quite busy with social issues at the moment...
Guess I'll have to catch up on the latest sci-news in pulp and virtualia.
